Bath is Katherine's home town. After years travelling the world working in large prestigious hotels — and a spell in the Royal Household at Buckingham Palace — she was drawn back to this UNESCO city to open a bed and breakfast of her own.

Those standards came with her. Guests find crisply ironed sheets, fluffy towels and wonderfully comfortable beds, in a house that still feels like a home rather than a hotel.

She has been running Abbey Rise for a number of years now, and returning guests always find something new — though her homemade brownies and cakes are always on the menu.
